Experiments using graphite crucibles and varying the amount of shell powder used in the batch to create new colours and textures.

As more shell powder was added, new colours started to appear in the glass such as hues of bright blues. This is believed to be due to the furnace atmosphere changing during the firing process and changes in the oxidisation of the materials.
