Exploring the potential of working with different local and waste materials in glass making and how these can influence glass characteristics.

Using stoneware crucibles to experiment with different batch recipes. Working with new recipes including seaweed and local beach sands. These recipes are still under development and testing through small batches is effective through little waste of materials.

Through analysis of the results working with geochemists and glass archaeologists, Lulu is able to assess what needs to be altered to get to a more successful glass state.
