Black Scallop Glass Disk
Glass disk made with waste scallop shells sourced from Fowey Fishery in Cornwall. Venetian glass is blown with shell powder. The glass was then cut into small disks, making for the perfect gift and sample piece.
As there are multiples of each colour, each disk varies slightly in texture. Please be aware there may be small defects due to the nature of the bubbles and the way it has been cut.

These glass disks were made in collaboration with Benjamin Lintell, from Wave Murano Glass. To achieve the texture and bubbles, molten glass was rolled into crushed waste scallop shells sourced from Fowey Shellfish in Cornwall, and then blown into larger rondells, the glass was then cut into small disks.
